Exercise:Two days ago I started walking before lunch for 20 minutes with people from my work. I figure if I can do that 5 days a week that’s better than doing nothing at all, right? It’s easier to walk with people because you push yourself to keep pace with the others. I find myself almost pushing beyond my comfortable pace and I heard somewhere that it doesn’t have to be fast in order for it to produce results. Anyone could walk at a steady pace for a long period of time and get results as well. I guess there are arguments for both sides.
Random thought:
I find my thoughts are still wandering back to a lady here at work. Two days ago she was in her truck and hit a pedestrian. Unfortunately the pedestrian died on the way to the hospital. Every day since I try to imagine what must be going through her mind and the nightmare that she lives everyday. Also the family of the pedestrian I’m sure is suffering and in a lot of pain. Every night on the news you hear of things like this happening but it is rarely someone you know. When it is, you tend to take more notice. Every time I get in my car I am more cautious about speed, people on the side of the road and other hazards that present themselves. I would not want to live with something like this for the rest of my life.
School for Sterling:
I have to register my son for kindergarten in April. When I called to make an appointment they told me they were completely booked for April but I could walk in and still be able to register him. What’s the point of making an appointment. I want him to go to a school that is not considered my neighborhood school but still in the same school district and I think I may have difficulty in doing so. We may have to keep him in the school he is currently attending if I can’t get him into the preferred school.
