Knowledge in nothing

I frequently check my husband’s blogs throughout the day to see what is on his mind or what amazing fact that he finds information on or about the latest crazy person stalking or harassing our family or to find out a little bit of history about some unknown place.

I am usually in awe of him and his written word as he can express himself so well and other people respond accordingly. He has a vast knowledge of many things and is very detail oriented with the information that he provides to help others.

I some times wonder where he gets the inspiration to write about the things he does as I never seem to have anything interesting to talk about in my blogs. I feel as though I have no words of wisdom to offer, no interesting tidbits of information, no funny stories and no history on any subject as I’m not knowledgeable in anything.

I do enjoy reading my husband’s blogs and I am disappointed when I don’t see new ones on a daily basis. I know he gets very busy and he can’t always take the time to blog but I wanted him to know how much I appreciate his ramblings.

Maybe someday I will have something insightful or interesting to write about but until that day comes you all will just have to read my mindless babble.

Babbling isn’t that far from rambling… But, thanks!

Well, I like it that it’s different. Despite his mentions of family goings on, its more homey in many respects than his.

But if you really think its all just mindless babble, possible names wcould include Kimberly’s Confusions, Kimberly’s Confoundings or Kimberly’s Circumlocutory.

(Sorry. But it’s either scanning online Thesauri or actually doing work on a job-related spreadsheet. You should see the notes I’m sending him tonight during my procrastinations.)

I don’t think you have to worry about it…sometimes its cool to just hear what is going on in our friend’s heads! You hear what’s happening, but you don’t always get an inside peek into how they think. Keep them coming! :)

I’m still getting used to this too. On more than one occasion, I’ve started a blog and erased it without posting. Sometimes I have a hard time deciding if my idea is blog worthy, or necessary. Sometimes, I think they might be too personal.

Admittedly, I think it was Richard’s fantastic writing skills and breadth of knowledge that kept me away for so long. I know it’s not a competition; but it’s easier on one

That’s why I call it rambling; I can talk about something serious one minute, then just paste in a joke the next, babble about nothing to babble about, etc. I write my blogs in a simple text file with a dozen half-baked ideas in it. Some make it, most don’t. Sometimes I write the blogs for the benefit of others, sometimes I’m just babbling about something I don’t want to forget, other times I vent just because I feel like it. Thanks to the stalkers (known and unknown), I am forced to censor my thoughts on occasion — which makes me sometimes wish I had a private secret blog that no one but me could read.

The goal of Improving my writing was one of the reasons I started blogging in the first place (that, and the goal of keeping a ten-year journal) — I think I write better now after the last 2.5 years of ramblings than I did when I started. (Again, thanks!) Now if only I could just squeeze out that book that must be lurking somewhere in the recesses of my brain…

But third equally important reason that I started was to have a bit of fun and share whatever I felt like sharing. Thank you, Kim, Brent, Monica, Judy, Cortney for participating!
