Grateful

It would probably be a safe bet to say that most people don’t appreciate the things they have in life. Their health, their family and career. A lot of people will look at their cups half empty instead of half full.

Over the past couple of years I have had the pleasure of getting to know some people that have helped me see that my life is full of things to be grateful for. When you hear about people that have more than their fair share of trials and tribulations you then realize how trivial and silly the things are that you sweat over. Like the book says… “Don’t sweat the small stuff.”
Too many of us will focus all of our energy on the things we don’t have that we fail to see all the good things.

I know that we are all faced with difficulties and in those moments it is sometimes hard to see that there is good in our lives. But it’s at the difficult times when we really need to stand back from the situation and re-focus our minds in a positive way.

After a rather trying weekend with my family I came into work to hear about how others spent their weekends. I found out that my weekend was a walk in the park compared to what others are going through. So the purpose of this blog is to let everyone know that I am grateful for my husband and how he supports me no matter what.

I am grateful to him for everything he contributes to our family.
I am grateful for my health.
I am grateful for my job.
I am grateful for my kids.
I am grateful for my home.
I am grateful that my family members are healthy.
I am grateful for waking up every day.
I am grateful for being able to breath easily.
I am grateful for my friends.
I am grateful to those people that have shared their sad times with me which allowed me to realize I really shouldn’t sweat the small stuff.
Thank you everyone.
It’s good to be alive.
