Another day…another step in the right direction

Today was one of my better days. It started out a bit emotional from yesterday’s meeting but I had to stay a bit more focused at work because one of our staff members left work early.

I loved getting phone calls from Richard today. When the phone rang at work and I heard him on the phone it put a smile on my face. I left for lunch a little early because I came home to help Richard take the top off his Jeep. I should have helped him months ago so he could have enjoyed driving around with the top off sooner.

I didn’t eat today until I got home from picking Sterling up and all I ate was a beef stick. I loaded Sterling back in the car and his sister too and we went shopping for school clothes. I was on a mission because I don’t like the mall. I started out at Target then I went to Old Navy, Gap Kids, and then checked out The Children’s Place all in about 30 minutes. We found 4 pair of pants between the 4 stores and then went home. Richard had mentioned that he would take Sterling caching this evening so when dad came home from some caching alone he picked up Sterling and they were off.

Cortney went to pick up Grandma so I was in the house by myself for a bit. Quiet except for the barking dog next door. I decided to sit and read. I was able to relax enough that I was able to eat some soup. I was glad to see Richard and Sterling come home from caching and Sterling was so excited that he was able to go with dad.

After putting Sterling to bed I sat down to write this. Idle gab about nothing in particular. Overall the most relaxing day I have had in more than a few weeks.
