All about me.
Months ago I asked for Friday off because I was suppose to go to Vegas with Yvonne. Unfortunately I cancelled the trip with her due to finances and other important life issues. So Friday I decided to spend the day doing what I wanted. I don’t usually do things alone but I have decided over the last couple of weeks that I needed to do things on my own.
I was able to take Sterling to daycare which I don’t usually get to do because I’m usually at work before he gets out of bed. After I dropped him off I went to have breakfast with Yvonne. We went to Stack’s and we gabbed for a long time as usual. She gave me my birthday present and then I was off again. I went to pick up my favorite earrings from the jeweler that were being repaired. I was on my way to go shopping when I decided to make a detour and go pick up a Chai for Richard. I got to his work about 11:00 and gave him his Chai and he said that he would be going to lunch in about 45 minutes and we could go together. So I waited for him to finish some work and we went to Round Table. As he ate lunch I drank my tea and we talked about nothing in particular which I enjoyed because we were spending time together. I dropped Richard off and headed to the movie. I decided to go see “Becoming Jane”. I enjoyed it and didn’t feel uncomfortable or strange going by myself.
I was going to try and get a pedicure but I didn’t have time by the time I went to Valley Fair and tried to find a new purse. Of course it takes me a long time to find the right kind of purse as I’m very picky. I am not a purse horse like my mom and I only buy purses when the current one I’m using breaks but my purse has to be a wallet and purse in one. It can’t be too big as the bigger it is the more çráp you can put in them (wasted space). It must have a place for me cell phone and a place for credit cards, check book, change already built in. I don’t like to have to buy a separate wallet because it’s just another expense and another thing that can get lost. At least I can’t lose my money and credit cards without losing my entire purse. Finally I left the mall and decided I would go pick up Sterling.
Not a bad ending to a very good day about me. The weekend turned out to be one of the best weekends I have had in a long time. Spending it with the family and just being happy to be with them. I’m so thankful for these very special moments and look forward to many more days like the ones I had this weekend.
