Giving things a chance

I have always had tendencies to poo-poo things that didn’t interest me instead of giving them a chance. I think I am in the process of changing my way of thinking. I am trying to be more open to doing things or experiencing things that I wouldn’t normally have given a chance.

My husband loves the Dr. Who series and I have never been interested in them in the least. I never saw an episode and had my opinion of what I thought of them. Not the right approach but once again, that’s how I have been.

I have recently completed watching the 1st season and am in the middle of the 2nd season and overall I am enjoying them very much. Some of them are a bit hoakie (sp?) but on the most part they are very entertaining. It’s interesting how each family member has a favorite episode and they like them for different reasons. One of my husband and daughters favorite episodes is the Lady in the Fireplace. I enjoyed this one but I guess I don’t see what they do in it which is perfectly OK. It’s because everyone has different ways of viewing the same thing and take different thoughts and feelings from it.

I’m glad I am giving this series a chance and I hope that I give many other things a chance that I may have once poo-pooed.
