Household stuff
Today I decided to try and get some of the things done on my list of to-do’s. I made a pot of chili for dinner and let it simmer all day while I was getting things done around the house.
I started by patching the crack in the sheet rock in Sterling’s room. Whenever the sheet rock was put up the seam must not have been put together very well because there was a straight line crack where the seams met. I sanded and spackled the length of the crack. Now I will have to go get texture to spray on the wall before I repaint. Picking out a paint color close to what is already on the wall should be fairly easy or something that is pretty neutral. If I left it up to Sterling he would paint his room teal. No, thank you! Oh yeah… forgot to mention that when moving the dresser in Sterling’s room, it put a gouge in the floor about 4 feet long. Oops! Don’t know how I am going to fix that. I’m suppose to be fixing things, not giving myself more things to fix.
The next thing I started working on was the main bathroom. There is a wallpaper border which has to come down and re-grouting needs to be done as well as cleaning up the caulking around the shower doors. In order to repair the caulking around the shower doors I had to remove them. That was fairly easy. The problem was removing the rest of the rails that were attached to the tile and the tub. I cracked one of the wall tiles in the process of removing one of the side rails. Another oops. Maybe I can find one tile to replace the broken one.
A good start to some of the things on my list except for the oopses!
