It feels gooood!

Most of last week I spent taking out the tile floor in the rest of the dining room and the entry way. Huge job and it took 3 days. Thankfully Richard was able to help out on Thursday for a bit to help me get the cement board off the floor. Once the first piece came up then the rest of it came up in about 15 minutes. That stuff is heavy and dusty. Needless to say my muscles were asking for mercy by the end of Friday.

Today we were actually able to start laying the new wood flooring. Due to the direction that we are moving Richard needed to MacGyver a new tongue in order to start moving in the opposite direction toward the front door. If you haven’t laid wood flooring then you probably have no idea what I’m talking about but nevertheless it worked brilliantly.

We only got about 17 rows laid. I was hoping to get more accomplished but my body is telling me something else. I guess the last week is catching up with me. I could barely swing a hammer or hold it for that matter. My muscles are rebelling.

I will try to get some more done tomorrow depending how I feel.

Overall I have been pretty pleased by some of my accomplishments since I haven’t been working. Kudos to me.
