Merry Christmas Charlie Brown…
My daughter went to a play at her alma mater of Merry Christmas Charlie Brown. She came home with a Charlie Brown Christmas tree for her brother. Of course he loved it and he used it to decorate his room for Christmas. He collected some ornaments from the prize box at the YMCA and brought them home and put them under his tree.
We put Sterling to bed last night after a very exhausting day spent with his friend Michael. He fell asleep immediately. I was laying in bed playing my Soduku about an hour after Sterling went to bed and I heard a noise in his room of what sounded like balls bouncing on the floor. I went in his room and he had the Charlie Brown Christmas tree in bed with him. The ornaments hitting the floor was the sound that I heard. When trying to speak to him about why he had the tree in bed with him and Richard trying to explain that some of the ornaments were glass and could break in his bed he did not respond. We discovered that he still wasn’t awake. He was walking in his sleep.
Richard and I found it very funny and unfortunately didn’t get a picture because the flash may have actually woke him up.
This isn’t the first time that Sterling has walked in his sleep. Thankfully when it comes to Sterling coming out of his room I wake up and herd him back to his bed. I just hope that he doesn’t go any further than our own house. I may be putting more locks on our doors so he can’t escape.
